Judging by the blister on my right hand and ache in my right arm...fairly sure ;-) But to say I'm chuffed with the results is a hug understantement...the actual skim was a pleasure to put up!! :-D Not sure how well I'd fair on a full size wall though..we'll see. Steve, with a fully...

    Render volumes for 2.7sqm walls

Well, fingers crossed it still looks good in the morning. Did both walls tonight - first proper skim and they look good! To be honest, when I left them they looked better than the last 3 pro jobs I've seen... the first wall was troweled more and perfectly flat..the second was polished...

    Honeywell HOME EVO experts?

Thanks Alec. The problem I se is that I want independant timing for each room. I guess I can live with less 'stats, but that still gives me 'old skool' control of one temp reference point for the whole house...

Now that's going to be a camera I'd never want to clean!! It's typical...we're looking to extend the back in a couple of years, but might have to do remedial work on something that;s going to be ripped out... Starting to dislike old houses!!

So my new house has a large number of 'features' that we're putting right over the next few years! One I found today is a damp wall in the kitchen where the wall joins the lounge...on the outside of the wall is a rainwater drain and next to that an air brick that goes under the under the...

Crimping bootlace ferrules for RCBO neutrals

It is, but as you can't just chop the end off the neural lead to shorten it and you have to crimp it, the topic goes hand in hand with the result, no??

    32mm Mdpe to 28mm copper

Sorry to revive an old topic - but about to replace my 32mm MDPE to 15mm stopcock (temp set up) to directly feed the 28mm internal pipework...any reason not to reduce 32mm mdpe to 28mm copper before the stopcock? Also is there any reason not to then use a check valve and peglar full bore...

Hmmm, so what's the answer then? Got to be one!! Am I back to your (Dan) recommendation of using manifolds and 3 4 way programmers...not the end of the world, but need to start the plumbing soon, so need to get a crack on with the planning. is there such thing as a heating 'architect' as...

    Fan/light control options for bathroom.

I've never understood the whole idea of connecting the fan to come on with the lights...I've always connected mine to a separate switch (with run on) And there's no logical argument that it forces people to make sure they use the fan as its connected to the lights...cause who turns the lights...
