    Roof tile/pitch query

Phoned Sandtoft 'technical' this morning but she didn't seem to know much about the said tile saying that they only guarentee them to 22.5 degree but she sounded as though she was just reading from a screen. Just have to see what the builder says.

    Brown mahogany style upvc windows

We usually buy ours in boxes of 10 (not sure where from mind). If you try your local window manufacturers they should sell you 1, or failing that see if you could scrounge one off a fitter working nearby as they usually carry them.

    Roof tile/pitch query

Been to see him and he says that he took the plans into the builders merchants and they told him that they are exactly the same, but said that he will go in tomorrow to see about getting them changed. If they are exactly the same then why can one go to 12.5 degree and the other 22.5?

    Roof tile/pitch query

No, he is a local, general builder I am using to build the shell. So, should I go and tell him that these are not suitable for the job then? And are the Sandtofts cheaper? that would explain why he has ordered them.

    Roof tile/pitch query

Hi, having an extension built at the moment and they are coming to the roofing stage. The roof pitch is around 15 degree and on the plans he has specified Redland Regent tiles which go down to 12.5 degrees I believe, but today we have received delivery of a load of Sandtoft Bold Roll but after...

NEED A UPVC FRONT WITH NO HANDLE OUTSIDE

You can get a door with a lever / pad handle set, which basically works like a normal door from inside, but has a fixed handle on the outside where you will need a key to get in.

Don't really see the need for a corgi registered plumber to cut and rejoin 5 pipes.

    Extending flue pipe.

Took me a while to understand your English Steve, but yes, I do intend to move the boiler over with the flue still attatched, hence not having to touch the flue. Shouldn't be that difficult should it? Just a matter of re-routing the pipework.

    Extending flue pipe.

Why have I not thought it through?

    Extending flue pipe.

Because like I said, the outside wall has been moved out by about 500mm, so if I move the boiler across by 500mm then the flue will not need to be touched.

If I move the boiler over then I won't have to touch the flue.

    Extending flue pipe.

Alternatively I could move the boiler over by 500mm as most of the pipework will have to be re-routed anyway. Whats the pros and cons for both jobs? Also are solder ring fittings easy to use, as I have quite a lot to do and they are quite a bit cheaper, only I have ever used compression or...

    Extending flue pipe.

Hi, building an extension at the moment and the wall from which my flue went through has been moved further out by about 500mm so I need to extend my flue by this amount. The flue goes up from the boiler about 500mm then a 90 degree elbow and then horizontally about 500mm but this will need to...
