did they let the scratch coat cure properly if not u will get cracking in top coat using weber ocr would give a better job it looks like they dont know how to gauge properly :shock:

tape and joint is just as good as skimmed and if sealed with drywall sealer you wont lose any paper when stripping wall paper off it

you cannot put krend or weber on eml i would put a render carrier board on then a coat of krend hpx then the krend top coat or try an acrylic top coat like marmorit conni with sm700 base coat on the board
