sounds like you have crud in your DHW heat exchanger, pop it off and give it a few knocks whilst running cold water through it that should dislodge anything stuck in there...

Disconnect the filling loop... if the pressure still rises its likely to be your heat exchanger.

ya... check your pump you have a definate circulation problem, also run through the obvious checks, that you have water in the system, etc.

I don't think you are wrong though. I'm almost 100% this would require Transco.
