cant get to do a process of elimination ..... might even try a new receiver... just to ensure its not that ??? many thanks for all comments and advice,,,

Can’t seem to do a process of elimination as things work then don’t work

Here we go again Just switched on power via switch on wall Receiver status light went green Pressed ch and water buttons and boiler has fired up again???

System fitted about 5 yrs ago worked no probs

Ok I looked for fuses but can’t find one anywhere Also system was working yesterday then stopped Started working today when got home after a 24 hr break and stopped again after a few hours …

oooooh... this is getting interesting.. had new boiler and hive system fitted by British Gas ..about 5 years ago... full flush of the existing older system then fitting of new boiler and hive system .. so has worked perfectly ok for the past 5 years... just started playing up over past...

That makes sense thanks so much However direct appear to be any isolating switch for the boiler just a feed to the isolating switch which provides power to the hive receiver …old system was a electronic landis gyr system controlled by a wall mounted thermostat in the hall which is no longer...

Can even hear the clicking of what sounds like relays in the receiver as green lights come on but nothing happens on boiler ??

??? Got home ready to take photos as suggested of boiler and controls Can’t believe it started working perfectly !!! All green lights on receiver and measured power going to boiler Worked for a few hours ch and water ok Now stopped again All green lights on receiver as if ok BUT no power...

Will do tomorrow Sods law all happened a few hours before we went out Yes it is a 3 port mid position

Don’t think it’s zoned not sure but I am aware it is old system and just pumps water to all the radiators or hot water tank coil

It’s a regular system ch hot water system cylinder tank and header tank Thought it might be the tri-valve so as a bit of elimination I have changed that as It has broke in the past … didn’t give any thought to the electronics associated with the receiver

Ariston r18 Seems to have been playing up lately was working this morning but even when ch light on receiver the boiler only seemed to fire up when pressed the water heat light Now no power to boiler even though both green lights and status light on ??? Thought a fuse may have blown but no...
