hi if you follow the arm along from the ball towards the water in let you will see a plastic screw aduster try this

hi has your ballcock got a brass arm or a plastic arm if brass you can some times give them a little bend and this stops your sistern from over filling or if the water inlet has a screw like fitting you can adjust it to stop you from over filling hope this helps.
