    Better to switch of all power at main switch on Consumer unit/fuse box especially if you have no reliable means to test that the socket is dead. NB A neon screwdriver is not a relaible means for testing!!

    MK do a stacking kit so you can join two CUs one above the other. I don't know about other CU manufacturers. If not two small CUs one above the other fed from a single isolation switch would work. As for upgrading cut out fuse rating you need to contact your DNO
