    I always wear a 'bump' hat in lofts - the reason is when you're tippy toeing across the joists you're looking down!!! I was once working in a loft and caught my head but thought I'd just scratched it - hot day sweating a lot - when I went got down customer yells "Oh my good are you alright"...

    Give them a call they should come and check it over. If it was rewired 6 months ago the switch and wiring will be under warranty - don't change the switch yourself

    You are way off the mark there. If we (professional electricians) were protective of our trade we would not be on here in our spare time giving advice free of charge. Our answers may seem a bit harsh but our main concern is yours and your families safety.

    Phasor

    Are you talking about the phasor diagram as the Xc phasor will point below the origin and the Xl will above the origin. On the diagram the phasors will be rotating clockwise relative to time.
