    Indirect water cylinder

I stand corrected; 2.4gpm = 9 l/m. Would I be fine using 22mm for primary piping to indirect even though its inlet coil connections are 35mm?

    Indirect water cylinder

No Sir, I have been away so couldn't respond. To cut the long story. The DHW distribution piping and location of old cylinder were not optimal. I have sorted it out and now have placed the cylinder to a more optimal location of the house where it can supply DHW to all outlets (I think!). I am...

Greenstar 24ri - large temperature drop before re-fire

Interesting. You could teach me a few tricks as I am in the process of putting a HW cylinder. When you at 6p.m water was at 55C; after how much time did you get the reading at 6p.m? Depending on your usage, how much are you spending on gas in a day if it is reheated twice; once in the morning...

    Indirect water cylinder

Hmmm. I have the boiler with CH last year. Bougt WC sensor this year to save on gas and now have to buy Viessmann cylinder box to make HW work. For 100 bucks I can buy a used boiler and dedicate it to HW cylinder separately! From what I have read on forums and documentation. I don't have any...

Yes, already have drayton 2 channel programmer i.e 722. So does mine has both commons connected? I am also thinking of putting a dedicated boiler for HW cylinder? What do you suggest; good idea or waste of resources.

    Indirect water cylinder

I will share the details of cylinder as it doesn't come with jewllery that goes with installation and I need to buy them separately.

    Indirect water cylinder

I recall when I was buying the boiler, I was looking at borchures for vitodens 100 and one of them even mentioned (in brochure from Viessmann) that a heat only has pump inside boiler! I sent that exact brochure to their sales team and they came back that brochures have all kind of generic...

    Indirect water cylinder

Yes Sir, already bought it. And if I put cylinder demand box with it and corresponding wiring, I would be installing it in W plan configuration since the boiler doesn't support OT and hence no X plan, correct? Not sure about it but it doesn't come up with expansion tank or limit stat. Its a 120...

    Indirect water cylinder

Bought just the WC sensor and wire harness for 35 as I needed it for CH anyway. Cylinder box compatible with my boiler is 7296 968 I didn't buy the box as I wasn't sure what it does. Now that I know, I will look at options to buy it. Thanks for advice on ebay purchases. Do I require HT...

    Indirect water cylinder

Exactly. I have read that Intergas and other boilers work out of the box without any add-ons or trickery. A couple of leads are tucked from X20 in my boiler (I have not connected HW to the boiler yet) which I think goes into cylinder demand box. The box cost around 110 from viessmann direct and...

    Indirect water cylinder

I recall sending an email to Tech support when I bought the boiler and this is what they had to say (see attached)

    Indirect water cylinder

On wiring harness from X21; port 3 and 4 are marked as WC. Port 1 and 2 doesn't say anything for OT which made me think that it is not compliant but on the manual it does.

    Indirect water cylinder

I have taken the picture from sticker on boiler. I keep reading/hearing from everyone on the forum that this heat only variant of Viessmann is not OT compatible but the newer model with digital controls are. Tech support are not of much use except that I give them credit that they respond to my...

    Indirect water cylinder

My boiler doesn't support OT as far as I know so X plan is not for me?

    Indirect water cylinder

exactly! Even if it was, I couldn't afford it. and as John says, I can use it as a 3 wire system so my inclination is towards a W plan system. Not sure on this one yet. See attached spec sheet which I have short listed.

Thank you for sharing this. A very good read for understanding various systems.

    Indirect water cylinder

So mid Position valve that I have is for Y plan system and have a different actuator. Am I right in thinking (as you have said in your post as well) that valve body for mid position and diverter valve is the same? Its just the actuator that needs to change from ZA5 (5 wires) to ZA3 (3 wire)...
