    Stanton unvented water tank

You need to recharge the expansion vessel to 3 bar using a bike pump. The valves are often under a black plastic cap. Immersion heaters are far more expensive to run than boilers are for water heating (three times the cost I think) Unvented systems need an annual service. Hope this helps

    New house hot water woes

With two bar dynamic you would expect a much higher flow rate than you have got which indicates restricted flow somewhere. See earlier comments regarding possible restrictions in your circuit.

    Combi or megaflow instalation

How many people in the house? Combis OK for one or two people as long as you understand that turning a tap on whilst someone is showering could cause much stamping on the bathroom floor. With storage you have multi outlet use, higher temperatures and a back up if the boiler is out of action.

    Thermal Store

A search on Google for multi fuel thermal stores show a few options - if they are installed and operated correctly they offer a good way of incorporating solid fuel appliances with mains hot water

    Economy 7 immersion heater tank!

Well thermal stores are vented - no expansion vessel to maintain. They are heated overnight on cheap tariff for use in the day so not too expensive to run. Your call - but I would question wisdom of discharge into soil stack as they have been known to collapse with unvented relief valves on...

Changing over to a combi in a bungalow.

You might have 5 bar and 30l/min at the cold supply - this won't happen at the hot taps as there just isn't enough power in any combi to do it. Use a cylinder and system boiler.

Use of unvented cylinder as a heat store?!

If the P&T opens there is no fresh cold water to replenish/cool down the store. Thermal valves are available which you can connect to your DHW coil to cool the store - when it opens it allows mains water in which should then go to discharge. You will always need pressure protection - swap the...
