    Apologies if this is a stupid question, its my first time! When setting up a string line for the posts, should the string line be set in front of the post or behind the post? Does it make a difference? Also should the string line touch both corners and the face of the post?

    The garden is on a rising slope and also had a lot of overgrown weeds and stumps i had to remove which is why the soil is no longer compacted, once I've levelled it out, will compacting it back with a whacker plate not be sufficient?

    Lucky you! I'm shopping around eBay, online sellers etc quotes ranging from £650 to £1200! If i were to put grano dust down what depth would you recommend? If its 50mm ive calculated I'll need approx 8 jumbo bags! :cry:
