If you are on a tight budget I would suggest purchasing a dummy box with a flasher in and at least trying to make it look like you have a decent alarm and hopefully deterring the criminals..

All decent wireless alarms now use 2 way technology so give the functionality of a wired system with the benefits of a wireless..

I would Suggest Visonic Powermaster 30 with Camera Pirs so you can see why your alarm has activated and do something about it.

Is it dialing out or just locking your phone?

Check CS reporting is disabled under comms and disable line fail (option 53)

What were you thinking about CCTV? were you wanting to know why the alarm had activated or was it more external?

How about fitting a Dummy with a 10 yr flasher and connecting every system to phone customer?, so you have a deterant without the hassle and you would always know it had activated..
