When the boiler turns off, everything goes off as it should. Unless something on the boiler that i can`t see without opening it up is turned up too high, because all of the setting everywhere around the house that i can see, i have turned down almost as low as i can to try and sort the problem...

Yes, the pump does as it`s told when it`s told. It`s just when the water gets so hot, it heads for the loft and the pipes let me know about it. I have a baxi solo 2 PF. The CH and HW are working, the pump and tank star are working. I have CH and HW. Ocasionaly the boiler goes on over heat setting. The boiler is turned down to No.2 setting. The tank stat is turned down to 50 and the pump is turned up to No.3 setting since No.2 setting...

Double checked it all again, all if working fine now. I dont think the heating likes being turned of for a day or 2. Boiler overheats the first couple of time when i start up the heating.

yeah, all was working fine 2 days ago after "hi-spec plumbing heating" helped me fix it. Then i turn the heating on again today and the boiler is overheating again, i have check everything like he told me and everything seems to be working ok. I was wondering of i had a loose wier in the boiler...

Just a quick question, but then the boiler is doing not alot, is the "boiler on" light suppose to flicker on and off, or is it suppose to be a stationary light. This is for a Baxi solo 2pf. Thank you.

I know what you mean, unless you are there, such a simple problem can take hours to find. I suppose it`s the same as fixing PC`s over the intenet. Especially s the perso on the other end hasn`t go a clue. Like me i suppose. But i learn fast. I manged to rip out a whole bathroom and replace it...

Pinpointed the problem. It was the faulty tank stat. And now it`s wired up properly, we have toasty hot water and CH. Your lovely you are, i thank you so much. I didn`t think such a simple thing could cause so many problems.

OMG... I`ve turned the CH off and the HW on and everything is working.......For now. So it could have been because the stat was wired up wrong...

I haven`t looked at the boiler, the CH and boiler never really were the problem. It`s when i put the HW ot, it wont work and when i switch the CH off then the boiler goes off completely. Unless something in the boiler has 2 wires the wrong way round or in the control box of the CH and HW thingy...

This morning, the CH is on, and all of the lights on the boiler is on, and everything is running as it should, no noisey pipes either. I have not touched the HW yet, because i just know it`s not going to work.

I put the CH on, reset the boiler and turned that up to 6, turned a couple of radiators up full blast. Now the boiler is doing nothing except the ON light. I was working this morning. Heating up, then overheating as it always does, then turns off.
