    Non return valve debris is very possible also the thermostat if its a very high pressure system. What useless manufacturer said it was loose pipes and its just a lump of brass. When people give you answers like that I think you should always give them credit for there comments. :evil:

    More information required. What is your hot and cold water, mains or gravity or gravity pumped ect. What shower valve is it make and model ect. I can guess that the pipes come down from the loft and its air but it would only be a guess without more info.

    A photo would make a difference as to totally understand. Are they separate hot and cold taps or a mixer tap? I think the answer is to fit an airator which will bulk out the water with air and stop splashing , you can also get flow limiting versions.
