Howdy all, I've just purchased an 09' plate 308 1.6HDi SR. I have been informed that fitting cruise control to it is as simple as obtaining the correct control stalk and then finding someone with access to peugeot planet software to activate it on the cars' ECU. Is this true? I have the part no...
What you are proposing sounds ok to me. Remember to fit the pump after the open vent and the cold feed. Ideally these should be within 150mm of each other (not always practicable). I always fit bleed points on the pipework in the cylinder cupboard.
The valve washer can also be damaged, allowing the valve to pass water all the time. Some valves can have new inserts fitted, but most DIYers will just change the whole valve.
If you find a competent gas installer, it should not be necessary to resort to flinging in parts willy nilly! If a logical path is followed, you should usually be able to diagnose any problem. Having said that. . .
There is an o-ring inside the gland nut. You may have temporarily stopped the leak, but you would be better changing it. Follow the instructions above, its an easy job.
Or you could save yourself a few bob, and use bending springs with a bit of string tied to them. Pull the bend very slightly too far then bring it back and you should have no probs. By the way, I have the record benders and they've been really good.
I would follow DPs' suggestion of converting to fully pumped and if necessary a powerflush. When the system is refilled and inhibited, a bottle of fernox silencer can work wonders. The reliability of the baxi bbu is beyond reproach and even with a top notch installation, I don't believe there is...
A dose of real flue will weaken your immune response considerably, leaving you open to secondary(mostly bacterial) infections. These can be exacerbated by smoking or other health conditions, in my case asthma. The amoxycilin I was prescribed made a huge difference but I was still in bed for near...
Hi Kirk, my email address is [email protected]. If you could forward a copy of that power point it would be much appreciated. Cheers mate, Boab Dingwall.
In many cases, there is an element of incompetence by installers, however, as has been stated already, when a 4" soil stack is freezing solid and the manufacturers instructions have been followed to the letter, how can the installer be blamed? It's too easy to say all installers are cowboys.
Ideal, the OP would not cause his friend to lose his gas safe reg. If his plumber mate decides to go down that road, he is making a rod for his own back. I agree that the Vaillant is a good bit of kit, but TBH I would opt for a replacement. Not an Ideal.
