HELP!!! Oven broke after flicking MCB switch to OFF

When you say broken, what exactly do you mean? Is it not heating? Has it got a clock? If it has does that come on, and have you set it to the correct time? Or, is it completely dead?

washing machine motor - how does variable speed control work

The motor speed on washing machines is generally controlled by the programmer via a printed circuit board. Some machines have a variable spin speed as an option which could be either another control switch or a set of fixed speed switches. You'd need to get the motor down to the wash speed...

    recess lights: 6cm space only.

Have a look at kitchen cabinet lighting. They can be recessed and the depth of the actual fitting will be less than 25mm. You might have to fit a few though!

    washing machine problem

Would it be possible to fit a non return valve at the end of the washing machine waste pipe as it fits onto the kitchen waste? Not sure if there is such a thing to be honest, but maybe one of the plumbers might be able to confirm. Failing that, a trip down to your local DIY shed to ask...

    Beko WMA641W-Dripping wet after cycle.

Maybe the motor/pcb overheating during the wash and then not spinning, but from your description you are putting it straight on a spin afterwards (?) so that theory doesn't work! You haven't changed the program you use recently have you? Not all programs have a full spin at the end of the...

Two dishwasher problems - any help appreciated!

Try adjusting the input on the rinse aid on yours. On your parents, check to see if there is water in the base. Dishwashers have a float switch that operates if the base fills with water. This will switch on the pump and stop water coming in. I'm thinking the noise you can hear might be...

    Screeching Hoover tumble dryer

Sorry. Not done one. Depending on where the noise is coming from. It might be worth your while having a look to see if you can gain access to the jockey pulleys. Apply a spot of oil on the pulley shafts and see if that quietens things down. Oil needs to be applied to the pulley...

HOOVER 1600 TRIPLE A DOOR COME OFF

I think that the later models have a door that clips together. Front and back and the door itself hangs on the hinge pins. Not entirely sure though. Any chance you can post a picture of the front of the machine/inside of the door?

    Problem starting Whirlpool washing machine

Could be the door interlock playing up. You could try shutting the door again a couple of times. Sometimes it will be the door handle/catch though. Changing the interlock isn't too much of a problem but might be better getting someone in who can accurately diagnose the fault, before you...

    Beko WMA641W-Dripping wet after cycle.

Is the drain hose connected under the sink? If it is check to see there isn't a blockage there. Does the water drain quickly on an empty only program? When it goes through the spin cycle at the end of the wash, does the drum go round? have any of the over ride buttons been pressed by...

does an electrolux built in need ventilation opening

I can't actually see the diagram referring to a gap in the worktop. All I can say is that the idea is to allow the warm air around the oven to move away from the cupboard units and that's what the internal fan would be for. I haven't seen ventilation for a single oven built into the...

Is there a pump filter? Check to see if it's clear.

You might still have a problem as that's still only just above the base line. Worth a go though.

Hmmm. Perhaps they are referring to the gap behind the oven? Does it give a diagram? 8)

    dishwasher won't drain

Hose needs to be at least two thirds of the way up the back of the machine as a rule.

    Siemens Fan Oven

Has it got a clock? Make sure the time is set correctly if it has. Other than that, the oven element or thermostat, or occasionally a broken wire. Element is the first choice if the clocks set.
