Any particular brand of gap filling cement? Would plumbers mait do it?

Further to me trying to fix the glug in our kitchen sink, the pipe under the sink that leads outside is now leaking on a join. It's one of those glued together pipes. Is there any way of mending this (silicone/whatever?) or will I have to get someone to fix it?

He does with a lot of things until they get to disaster level LOL. I don't think he'll be very interested unless it's completely blocked up.

I was hoping for something simpler before I go down that route :( If there's nothing else I can try then I'll have to chase the landlord. Is the glugging just annoying like my family reckon or does it need tackling?

I tried it from the outside and it went up there fine, no blockage there. It just will not go through the pipe inside :(

I've just checked and it's a 9mm wide snake - is it too big?

I've finally got round to putting the snake down but after lots of pushing twisting and pulling it went round the first bend and flatly refused to go round the next one. It's still inside the house and hasn't even reached outside yet. I tried going from the other end outside but the same thing...

Already tried one of those and a traditional plunger :(

Yep it's only just appeared. So how do I use it from the sink end? Do I take the trap off and poke it down there?

Has anyone had any experience of the snake cable? Could I feed it up from the drain end or would it need to be fed into the pipe from under the sink?

Best get someone out then. It's a rented house but trying to get repairs done is a nightmare. I was hoping it would be something I could tackle myself. I don't suppose one of those snake cable thingies would work?

Eeuw. Is there an easier solution?

Yes. What's the best way to sort it? I can't seem to get the pipes apart. I thought they just pushed together.
