    I have 2 properties that have 15" solid walls, unable to be insulated, they don't have damp or mould prob's as the tenants are quite clued up, also both properties have open fires, ie passive ventilation

    As I said in my previous post my property in question is fully insulated to up to date spec, it is 100% the tenants fault, and most properties with mould problems that I have been in have been 100% tenants fault.

    News to me but grandaughter told me yesterday about furrys, not the ones in the woods but mostly secondary school / f/e students who now identify as furry animals, apparently they have been going into school wearing animal ears, tails, furry bits etc and demanding litter trays in the w/c's...

    A lot of bad landlords are in fact local authorities or housing assosiation, all the private landlords that I know and have worked for in the past give good value for money, yet the government always wants to make things more difficult for them.

    It's strange isn't it that we have never had black mould in our house, 2 adults, 2 childeren and 2 dogs, then again we do open windows and clean the place, our kitchen is older than those in most of our rentals but those suffer more "accidental" damage (oh the cupboard door hinges just broke)...
