    dodgy electical work??

Very concerned about the first bit mentioned with regards to the fuse and the fact the guy didn't check over any of the wiring they had done before replacing the fuse. Perhaps may have been caused by no Earth sleeving and the live shorting out and what wire size did he actually use / is this...

Electric Showers - safe or not ?

Nothing wrong with electric showers. If you want added safety then have an electrician fit an RCD to each one of them if they don't already have them.

    Shower cable in plastic trunking

Multicore page 222 4D2A then - clipped direct rating 46A method three reduces cable to 38A  so suggest lowering Fuse to 35A MCB unless you can chase in the cable instead of using the conduit which will no doubt give you more work though will look prettier long term.

    Shower cable in plastic trunking

For 6mm squared cable clipped direct the current carrying capacity of the cable is 47A which is reduced to 41A when installation Method 3 conduit is used (Single core table 4D1A regs page 220), although the length is only two meters. The fuse rating is too high for the cable and I'd suggest you...

What height, could be for a light if high up that's no longer connected - maybe an external one or a socket that's somewhere that also is no longer in use. Do you know if it's live still?

Boxed in cables at base of wall

If the cable is run at a depth of greater than 50 mm it is ok otherwise it needs protecting against mechanical damage. You could put a box in with a blanking plate to gain access to the cable along this "trunking" to make it more obvious the cable is there.

    no hot water?

Haven't got a scooby doo without knowing the boiler type, did this happen before the boiler was serviced and hence the reason to get the service or after the service was done?

    RCD Advise?

I personally have a Petrol one so if it's similar to mine they won't need an RCD at all  If they do use a plug in RCD make sure the test button is used every time the cut their grass or use it. The downside to RCBO route is it will cut the power to the freezer if it's not on a...

    earth loop impedance

could also be a faulty socket. Are you able to / capable of measuring R1 + R2 of the circuit? Have you measured other Zs off other circuits and if so what is the difference. Have you measured the Ze?

    buried cable near radiator pipes

It should be 50 mm deep to avoid mechanical damage if possible. There's no minimum but if the pipes are heating the cable you will need to allow for the ambient temperature and so the cable may need to be larger mm squared. Is it ran in a safe zone? You know it's there but if you sold the...

Help with running tv aerial cable?

Split the aerial cable as close to the aerial as possible (normally in the loft)and run your cables from there. You'll probably have to buy a splitter/booster if you want four 4 TV.s off the same point.

Please help with Part P regs

If you do add a spur make it a fused one to be on the safe side (if you weren't thinking of doing it like that anyway). It's not like you're doing a major rewire back to the fuse box so if you take your time do it well can't see a problem.
