this is a totally different question i changed all the metal light switches and plug sockets for plastic ones and all of them had metal back boxes were the wires are so i removed all the earth wires from the switch face plates and put into the back on the back box, but 1 light switch is plastic...

thanks spark also on 1 of the light switches ( the one with 3 switches for landing and kitchen) the back box in plastic and there was a few neautral wires going to the face plate but as the new one is plastic can i just disconect them and tie them up ? Thanks

thanks a lot so is this correct and yellow and green wire goes into the metal back box into a terminal then another wires goes from there into the switch, so now i just remove the wire to the switch and leave the onle into the back metal box ? the the back box in metal and switch is plastic...
