Where to start on becoming a handy man

I can't think of a single customer with the necccesary tools for the job except for the possible exception of simple gardening tasks and basic decoration.

Where to start on becoming a handy man

You are unlikely to get a job as a Handyman. Most are self employed one man operations although there are a few franchises out there and either way, I don't think anyone will pay you a wage just so that you can learn some skills and then set up on your own. I suspect that most come from one of...

    Curved fence line

For a small amount of curve it won't matter as long as you align the posts well. For more of a curve you will need to chamfer the sides of the panel.

    Condensation and mold woes

I have an alternate possibility. Was the porch originally open? i.e. the door was further back and has been moved forward to its current position? If so, it is condensation from the warm air of the house hitting the cold roof. In this case, you will either have to insulate and vapour seal the...

    Garden shed advice

If you pay more you can have proper safety glass instead of plastic. A properly ledged and braced door and the whole thing pressure treated so that it lasts way longer...

    Wall-mounted Makita battery holder

I have chargers on the workbench. Batteries that need charging get dumped by the charger and when they are charged they get put back on a tool. If you want them on the wall, surely it's not beyond you to knock something up with a bit of mdf or ply or is it more complicated than I'm imagining?

Syria. Bomb or not to bomb?

Well we're doing it anyway... I tend to think it's a bit pointless unless the whole region is turned to glass and we don't have the stomach for that and so on it goes.

    PU Foam Gun Problems

Par for the course. Been there myself. You might get a few more months by doing a full dismantle and clean (I did) otherwise, buy another (I did eventually).

At my wits end on how to get a quote?

Nothing to do with your gender. It would be exactly the same response if you were male. It screams know it all that will question everything and make the job twice as hard by suggesting or insisting on things that may work but may not be the best or most efficient way.

At my wits end on how to get a quote?

I'd say you've correctly identified the issue. It would definitely trigger alarm bells with me unless it was repeat business and I knew you were ok.

Starting a small shed making business

I have my doubts over the feasibility of this. A shed is a mass produced commodity item. There are good and bad ones but it is still just a weatherproof wooden box to store things in. Having given some thought to this myself I've concluded that the only way it could possibly work economically is...
