    Lanscape sleepers going green

Okey Cokey Would a pressure washer do the job or would that wreck the timbers? Also, I want to stain as well as oil them. I'm presuming it's stain first and then the oil?

    Lanscape sleepers going green

Yes, it's the shade that does it. Just out of interest, what is patio cleaner made of? Is something like soap and water similar or do I need this type of cleaning solution? Cheers

    Lanscape sleepers going green

Good morning all. I bulit a retainer wall a few years ago using landscape (new) sleepers. I'm about to oil them as they're looking a bit tired but in one side of the garden they are a bit green; I'm assuming algae of some sort. Does this need to be taken off before I oil them, and if so...

Can someone please tell me the make of this tap?

OK. Is there any way I can get this resolved? Is there another way I can find out the make of tap? Is it right that there are no universal fittings?

Can someone please tell me the make of this tap?

Hi I'm looking for the fixing which goes on the end of taps; no idea what it's called sorry. I was speaking with a plumber and he said all fixings were unique to the tap and that I would need to find out the make of my tap. Can anyone help? Cheers

    Retaining wall

I used sleepers on a smaller scale than yours and they were reasonably easy and straight forward to put in. I used 5ft posts which are 2ft deep in the ground, bedded in concrete. I built up the sleepers at a 3-5 degree angle to retain the garden. I also back filled behind the sleepers with...

    Turfprotecta suppliers and/or alternatives

Does anybody know somewhere in the North East that supplies the product Turfprotecta? I can order online but wanted it for the weekend. Also, I though it was just a tad pricey and was wondering if anybody knows of a cheaper alternative Cheers

    Grass guard recommendations

Thanks One final thing before I go out, buy and fit. The area I'm looking to cover is now slightly sunken after walking on it for 12 months or so. So, should I put down a small amount of topsoil as a leveller before I put the grass guard on top of it, and then seed? Cheers

    Stepping stones, probably..?

One more thing, as well as the posts above, if this grass guard is the option does anybody know the best supplier?

    Stepping stones, probably..?

Including what I've just put up below, this grass guard stuff is looking quite promising. It seems easy and convenient and will cover the whole 'path' area. Does it really work or does it just limit the wear a little

    Stepping stones, probably..?

Thanks guys. I have a load of sleepers in the garden already as a retainer wall. Need to oil them this summer though! I wanted to use a solution in the garden that is child friendly, doesn't lose much grass space, but still protects the grass. Will probably opt for stones but what is...

    Stepping stones, probably..?

Thanks Thermo, and thanks for all your help in the past too! Are you saying that I just need to dig down to a level that'll take the depth of the mortar and stone? Also, and sorry, not sure what haunch, means(!)
