    Without the Neutral shunt, the contacts will take for ever to make and break on the stat. You need the shunt to make the stat function correctly.

    Neutral on 2 from stat needs connecting to the neutral terminal in boiler, to operate the shunt in the stat, if not it will take hours to operate.

    Isolate Live, Neutral and earth within fuseboard of each circuit, one circuit at a time until you can be sure which circuit is responsible. This will narrow it down.
