    DANFOSS RAS-C2 15MM TRV & RLV-D 13G6005

cool, they are the valves for me. I think I will order it all tomorrow from the plumb centre. They do seem a bit expensive though. BTW thanks for all the help. It is appreciated. p.s. I never worry about grey hair - shaved my napper years ago! ;0)

    DANFOSS RAS-C2 15MM TRV & RLV-D 13G6005

Does anyone know if these are switchable since I don't know what is the feed and what is the return on each rad. Some valves have this switch to stop water hammer as well. If they are not then are cn I just switch them over (i.e. will the locksheild and trv interchange after a drain down)...

Plumb Centre - Stelrad Compacts - Differing BTUs

I have just been looking up the BTU values for the rads in an old catalogue (2002). The same radiators appear have different BTUs eg. Stelrad compact 450*400 1309 BTUs and online tonight the same rad only 1032. Even the catalogue numbers match (271112). I wonder why this is?

    Threre rads off one branch

the pumping over is continuous on speeds 2 & three. I can lower the water level (in the header tank) slightly but not more than say 2 inches. The expansion pipe is right tight into the eaves so I cannot get any more height on it. The gas bloke told me ages ago that it is a sludge build...

    Threre rads off one branch

interesting - elbows reduce pressure big time I remember now, in the winter, only when we select heating on its own do the rads get really hot. If we select heating and hotwater the furthest rads away from the bolier dont get hot. I tried increasing the pump speed but this caused it so...

    Threre rads off one branch

sh*t - forgot about the hot water - what a prat. I have not yet ordered the rads. Probably had a bit of overkill for them anyway. How many BTUs should I leave back for the hot water? I think the boiler is not really man - enough for the house especially since I want to add a rad in the...

    Threre rads off one branch

We have two rads One feeds another one. I know you should not really, but would it be ok to feed another rad from the fed rad. This would mean that there would be three rads from the one branch. They are both ground floor rads directly under the central heating water tank and pump...

    Three port valve

that was my argument - but this geezer is adament ,not adam ant ;o) I think the mid position bit is the diversion

    Three port valve

An engineer at works tells me that 3 port valves that can be set to heating only/ water only of both direct the flow to either water or heating but never both at the same time. Is this true? He says if you select to have both heating and hot water then it will automatically shuttle between...

    Replacing all rads at once.

I have now removed all my rads in preparation for replacing. Whilst undoing the last rad it was on so tight that I split the connection. I had to cut the pipe and put and end stop on whilst water was a-gushing. I thought this was strange since I had put a bung in the feed pipe in the header...

    Feed Return for removed Rads

I have just ripped out all me rads ready for replacing. I have forgot to make a note of the feed and return. Since I am fitting thermostatic values I think this is important. Short of reconnecting rads, is there any way to determine what is the feed and what is the return? Thanks

Who is using my electricity - meter spinning no mcbs on

as I was typing I thought - sh*t should have checked it with switch off. All the washing machines etc are on now - do it tomorrow. I am reluctant to get the board out since I have recently changed the board and we had to snip the main 100A FUSE security tab to get it out. Still I suppose it...

Who is using my electricity - meter spinning no mcbs on

In an attempt to see if an unidntified circuit is consuming power I turned off all mcb's on the board except the one in question. The meter was spinning slowly. I then switched all mcbs on the main boad. The meter was still moving very slowly. How can this be? All circuits (both on rcd...
