    Planning permission for a patio?

I have also heard of this. As woody has already said, its mainly to do with surface run off of water and the permability of the final surface. I have read a document somewhere that goes into mentioning linear drainage for newly instaled driveways of "Non Permiable constructed surfaces"...

Carryon, I always buy my plaster from one of the big sheds. B&Q turn over vasts amounts so you are always sure to get fresh gear. I got some the other week and it was still warm :D Lot of the smaller builders merchants seem to store in some run down shack with a leaky roof and they...

Making garage floor good to paint. Screeding ?

noseall is correct. Self leveling componds are not meant for a wearing surface, merely to level subfloor before tiling or amtico/karndean flooring. Now theres an idea? Why not tile the floor with some cheap and cheerful anti slip floor tiles :) I went to the local Vauxhall garage...

    peashingle

Once you have applied your second coat, you use a hurling trowel. its like a scoop and gives you more force when used, than simply throwing a hand full at the wall. The machine applied spatter is called tyrolean. It isnt stones but a mix spattered on to the wall to give the desired...

Bubbles in my plaster - any advice??

I'd say over trowling as well. First coat on, leave it dont mess let it stiffen, second coat on trowel up a little leave alone untill its ready to hit it. If you try to atchieve a flat smooth finish to early, you will get Blisters as noseall says. I'm afraid novice plasterers panick too much...
