Yeh there was but it was switched on i just disconnected the cooker from the wall and put a cover plate over the connections and all was well then its the tenants responsibility to get the cooker repaired

Not sure all i can think is that internal wiring had gone due to the reverse polarity or one of the elements had gone but with the cooker connected it tripped the RCD with the cooker disconnected the RCD not trip

Sticky back trunking is no good for fixing trunking properly. After a while it will loose its stickiness and drop off I always use sticky trunking because its easier to fit because you can stick it to the wall and make sure it looks good and strait then i drill and use screws to fix it properly...
