    Skirting board profiling

Hi All, I'd like to have the skirting in our house profiled so we can keep as much original looking features as possible. The house is a 1920's semi, and I can't find a close match anywhere. The previous owners botched every room in the house - not one room is fitted with original skirting...

    Condensing or Combi??

A cylinder into the loft would be no problem - I'm led to believe there are water tanks in there already. Mind you, the boiler is in a stupid place in the kitchen so will probably need moving anyway :(

    Condensing or Combi??

Hi, We have a Vaillant Ecotech 418 Plus at the moment - if that can be adapted to act as a combi that would be great. It is a shame to throw out a fairl new boiler, but the house hasn't been very well maintained at all and needs the bathroom totally replacing. Cheers!

    Condensing or Combi??

Hi guys, The house we're buying has a fairly new (2013) condensing boiler fitted. I wouldn't have a problem with this only for the fact that the water heater is in the bathroom. The bathroom and toilet are seperate, which we're wanting to knock through. We're thinking our only option is...

Buying a house - Repairs needed

Thanks Woody. We got £5k knocked off for the floor and the garage so hopefully we should be OK. I'm guessing the lintels might as well be done at the same time as the windows need doing?

Buying a house - Repairs needed

Thanks. I was going to list what we wanted doing (similar to above), so that they can all quote without any misunderstandings etc. We're lucky enough not to be living in the house while the work is done, so would like it all done at the same time so would probably make sense to have one company...

Buying a house - Repairs needed

Thanks newboy - I thought that might be the case. When we first got the list of repairs back we thought it was going to be full on major rebuilding, but that doesn't seem to be the case (happily!)

Buying a house - Repairs needed

Hi All, Sorry for a fairly lengthy first post. We're just in the middle of buying a mid 1920's semi solid brick construction, which hasn't been very well maintained by the current owners. We didn't get the Home Buyers Report but did decide on a structural survey - this came back as saying the...
