bathroom refit - hot gravity fed, cold mains fed

you want equal pressure on your hot and cold for your manual mixer shower, but if you ever have cold mains and gravity hot then you must have a double check valve on the 2 supplies, eg with a kitchen mixer tap.

bathroom refit - hot gravity fed, cold mains fed

you could either have an electric shower (mains cold feed only) or take a separate cold feed from your cold water tank for your gravity feed cold and a surrey flnage from the top of your hot water cylinder for your gravity hot - that way you will get an equal balance of pressure. how big is...

sorry i am getting a bit confused here!! :) yes the manual lever is to open the alve (or in the case of a 3 port mid position valve) to open it up to mid position to allow heating if the motor fails. (also to help drain down the system) no dent in the cover, so will be draining down...

    Toilet difficult to flush

seems like the diaphragm has worn in the siphon - you will need to buy a new siphon (a bout a tenner). make sure you get the correct size one though, eg 8" or 9.5"
