Fit 2 PV solar panels now, more later?

Does anyone know if its possible or worth fitting 2 PV panels with all the electrical installations now, for say a couple of grand (or more, I dont know), and qualify for the higher feed in Tarif. Then without uprating the invertor etc add more PV panels myself at a later date, ? I guess the...

    Resin anchor position

I'd use three bolts and fit them inline with your hangers. Counter bore the holes slightly so the head of the bolt is flush with the wood. Of course this will depend on the type of chemical bolts you use. If its studding, make the end flush before again counter boring and fitting a nut.

Help - Cant lift recessed manhole cover

I had a similar problem with an old 2" thick cast iron jobby over a big manhole. After spending a day with a hammer and broken 1" hacksaw blade I managed to clear out most of the rust. I then dropped in a couple of 16mm nuts into the key holes. i used two so they would jam each other in. Then I...

    Rugby v Football

And that brings us back to respect. Ive played at county level and above, at both football and union, you respect the ref and your opposition in rugby. With football you always had enough energy after the game (if you played it properly)to want to beat the carp out of the guy who tugged your...

Cheap carpet & underlay tape question

You maybe right Lymmranger, but the expensive 90% wool berber I have had for 4 years needs changing due the two kids I have. You have to make a decision based on circumstances and one of them is price. I would say one is not 3 times better even though its 3 times more expensive. NB It...

Cheap carpet & underlay tape question

I bought 40m of exactly that 4 months ago. I have also bought something similar from a local retailer. The backing has a slightly more open weave and the wool loops are slightly more spaced apart. The loops flatten quicker but if you use an underlay and dont go looking for the tiniest hint of...

Alternating space saving stairs made from Oak worksurface

Ahh didnt quite read that right. There are a few regs that are a bit nonsense. The last one I heard of was standard plaster board screws did not a head large enough to hold up boards fixed to ceilings and was enforced by a young/new BCO. Havent seen that reg, just what I was told. My biggest...
