Ade Accenta G3 panels are dead easy to install, very simple to use, and dont look too bad either, as for the Scantronic 9448+, hmmmm, well depends on weather you gotta look at it everyday I suppose, I def wouldnt use one. Optima's are basicly the same as a Accenta G3, just got the built in RKP...

Wont help unless it wired EOL or FSL, most older alarms have a global tamper circuit, esp if like securespark said its an optima, or accenta. Need more info on panel.

Could be, some of the older ADE panels lock out with a short loss of power, on a low battery, although that normally causes a full lockout, so the code wouldnt of shut it up. Disconect battery, and mains, leave battery off for a moment and just power up on mains,, and close the panel lid...

How much do you wanna spend? You generally get what you pay for. Vista do some nice Vandal resistant day/night domes for around £200 each, works out cheaper than statics and housings. Samsaug do some fantastic internal domes, or theres Vista again, depends on what you want really, Borsatic...
