    sounds like you have a loose connection, the cable between shower and pull switch will need replacing and proberly a new shower unit.

    i also have a tt system in a rural farm . do you know what kind of heating your neighbour has ?? or does he/ she have an appliance that comes on through the night . my neighbour complains that his lights dip when my heating kicks in .

    ive got 48 led gu10's in my kitchen . they give off a white light and are nearly as bright as 50w halogens they replaced, beam width a bit narrower .

    i have the same problem when my boiler kick in , had scottish power out to check and wanted £5000 to upgrade supply from transformer ,100m away max. i now use cfu's and led lighting and lighting works fine now and saves a few quid

    it's not the only 32A mcb with a 2.5mm single cable the 2 on left hand side in middle look like they are 32A breakers

    we only use merin boards at work , i try to keep boards the same ,saves keeping a large stock of spare breakers. ive already changed all sockets,light switches and light fittings in house to mk range

    present board is a split load board ad im replacing it with a split load board with more ways , previous owner has wired immersion to ring main so i will have to run new cable . im doing all work myself , im a fully qualified industrial electrician so thats why im asking about which boards are...

    im going to replace my consumer unit , my present one has developed a slight buzzing from main isolater breaker and im looking for one with more ways . are there any makes to avoid and whats a good make??? any help appriciated
