    Rubbish

I love to see traffic wardens booking illegally and/or irresponsibly parked vehicles (especially ones with blue badges). * Dog muck annoys me too - I have dog and pick it up, why can't others. I also can't stand people who just shove their dogs to roam out in the street instead of walking...

    Poor water pressure in extension

What pipe material/size for H&C? Are they the same?

    Poor water pressure in extension

You will friction loss along the pipe and across fittings too though. Am I right in saying that it is definitely gravity fed for both H&C?

    Rubbish

The idiots who lean against the "thankyou for not smoking on this site" signs at our local hospital whilst they have a smoke. Some old fella was having a go at two guys today, they were in the middle of telling him to f**k off and mind his own business when I joined in heckling too... :lol...

    Leaking Stopcock

The other option is to repack the gland. Undo the gland nut and wrap a good bit of PTFE tape around the shaft/spindle. Re-tighten the gland nut to psuh the PTFE back into the body and tighten. Should be enough to stop it dripping/leaking. As Megawatt said though, may be easier to leave it...

I Can hear my neighbours water ??

From what limited knowledge I have of the PWA I believe it is the person doing the work that needs to instigate notice under the Act. Not sure it applies to everything fitted to a party wall though, mainly structural. I will happily stand corrected if I'm wrong. I'm not sure where you...

With regards to the water you can either have: seperate metered supplies into the building for each flat (usually from a manifold outside). Common supply into the building with an internal manifold in a "meter room". Meters outside each flat, boxed in on the landing either fed from...

    Drilled into unexpected water pipe

Once the fitting is soldered do you not consider it to be part of the pipe? Besides, the situation is in regards to repairing a pipe in the position in which it was legally installed at the time. Providing the materials used in it's repair are acceptable and the work is carried out in a way...

    Drilled into unexpected water pipe

Although they probably had the benefit of being legally installed at the time. Current regs also allow for pipes to be installed in walls - as long as they are in a sleeve and are "easily to withdraw", it is the fittings that must be accessible - but of course you knew that, you're an...

    Firefox & Forums

If I highlight a piece of text within my post and click on any of the text editing buttons to wrap tags (italic/bold/underline/quote), it just inserts the opening tag right at the end? When using IE I can highlight a line of text and do what I want with it. In firefox I've either got to type...
