    Banging when central heating on

I believe your pump is not circulating the water fast enough, how hot is the flow pipe from the boiler within 1/2 meter of the boiler, and the return pipe is a lot cooler yes? Are the flow and return pipe 22mm or 15mm for all their visible length?

    Banging when central heating on

Do all the other 6 rads get hot at the same time and when banging starts are all the rads too hot to hold for more than 2 seconds. If less than two sec then turn boiler thermostat down until all rads can be held for 2 secs. When this is done does banging still happen?

    Banging when central heating on

The banging is probably water not being passed round the circuit fast enough. Are all the rads being heated or are some of them turned off? is water circulating to all rads, what heat output is the combi 24,28, 32, how many rads have you got. Is there at least one rad without a thermostatic...

    Oil Boiler or Immersion

Do you know what the flow temp of the water is from the oil boiler? It needs to be about 75degC If it is then the sensor or stat may be faulty. Since the water needs to be about 55-60degC

Help moving a toilet / extending waste pipe.

If your moving sink and bath same rule applies, keep a fall on all waste pipework, if 32mm pipe extends more than 3 m (I think, might be 6m) increase to 40mm, And good luck.

Help moving a toilet / extending waste pipe.

If you want to move wc along the wall further away from the vertical pipe then it would be best to drill another hole through the wall and and join it to vertical lower down, blanking of the existing run externally. Other than that the only way to get round it is fit a masserator behind, run...

Help moving a toilet / extending waste pipe.

The golden rule is if you keep same pipe connection externally then you can put toilet anywhere BUT the pipe MUST have a fall away from toilet until it joins external vertical pipe. As long as you join into the same vertical pipe that is already vented at the top you don't need any more venting...

    biasi 24s overheating

If you do what you have suggested then a powerflush is unnecessary. Only clean all rads IF you think sludge is present in them. eg cold at bottom hot on top. If very bad for that then you will find out when you do the first one in the garden with a hose. If really bad then after all rads cleaned...

    biasi 24s overheating

If the HE was blocked with lime scale it would probably kettle, Do you have 22mm flow and return feeding the rads and dropping to 15mm on each floor, or is it 15mm all round the house. If all 15mm for rads they will struggle to heat, if 22mm then balancing is the answer probably.

Chaffoteaux MX2 30FF water leaking from gas valve

On yours the set up is quite different, and you do have water flow that is sensed and the sensing acts on the gas valve thro a rod so the water and gas are fairly close together on your water heater.

    Vaillant boiler noise problem.

When your hearing is less than 100% by quite a lot then you will understand the need for assisted listening. Also I have had more than one person say that I must take my job very seriously which is a good thing to hear isn't it?

I didn't say combustion cover I said cover. And of course any one can do anything and nobody can stop them I was just being careful not to give advice that shouldn't be done by a novice.

Instant Water Heater with Thermostatic Mixer Shower

I cannot condone another one in series as it is not something a manufacturer would recommend, the reason a thermostatic mixer won't work properly with rising main cold and gravity or reduced pressure hot is that the thermostat has to be quite sensitive to work properly and a low pressure...

Pressure at Zero, Worcester Greenstar 30cdi

You can go to their web site and ask for another key but if boiler is not loosing any more pressure then the rad valve is not leaking. Also if the boiler is still working then the actual pressure is ok. The boiler will stop working when pressure is too low. Or you may be able to get a key at...
