    hi yes a ferrule is a crimp, but you need a tool. a simple connector tucked in will suffice. you need 1 gang, 1 way switches for your job (2 terminal) - the two way switches you describe will work ( common L1 L2) but may cost more :shock:

    hi the only way now, without ripping the place up, is to install a twin+earth between the switches and joint it out to replicate your diagram. you will end up with a connector/ferrule in the existing switch

    hi there, you are probably running the shower too hot-ie the flow is too slow. the clicking off and on of the thermal cutout is quite normal in these circumstances. you dont have to turn the knob too far to have it plenty hot and not cycling on the thermal.... :D

    hi probably not, it depends on how heavily it were to be loaded. the old on site guide (waiting for new one) i think stated that you could run a ring as an M6 which meant basically "run it most anywhere, insulation included" i hav not got my osg to hand but i am sure someone will be along...

    hi how about fitting two sockets side-by side in the picture. you would then split the ring there. this would leave you with a red/black in one and a red/black-brown/blue in the other. you could then run one cable from each new socket up and over to the other side of the room effectively...
