Not sure if these have similar expansion vessel hoses that connects vessel to boiler? Could be that that's choked. Could be inadequate bypass and when demand satisfied there's nowhere for pump over run to get rid of excess heat and it's causing pressure rise an Prv to open? Not too...

An installation engineer that thinks it's strange for them asking for the commissioning benchmark to be filled out?!? Alarm bells ringing for me there tbh. I would double check it was actually a registered installer that fitted it.

Be a 500 or 600 combi I imagine. Yes you can fit an external timer to replace the standard modulink 250. Any timer with 24v switching will do, I may be wrong but I think the control box will also take mains switching but on a different connector.
