    When The GU10 Lamp Blows

It trips the breaker at the main board. I have a few rooms that have downlighters in them. Whenever one of the lamps go it trips the breaker thus putting all the other lights out until its reset. Is this normal occurrence?

    Underfloor Heating (Water)

Balenza, thanks for that. Its not my house. We are the main contractor and will be subcontracting the heating work out. Area's in question are 2 seperate rooms ( 12sqM approx in each) If it was timed (it more than likely will be) how would it be possible for the UF heating to come on at...

Changing cast iron soil stack to PVC

Does the quote include the rodding eye? If so and the chap wants to do all that for £480 tell him to carry right on. Seems very reasonable. Rodding eyes allow for easier access should the stack become 'clogged' On a seperate note PVC looks awful IMO

Thanks for the comments. Agile, yes I can do that and I will try it when I'm next at the flat. Blasphemus, yes the heating works perfectly well. The boiler came as part of a package of boiler, 7 rads, trvs etc for a set price. Not the greatest boiler I know but I thought it would be...

New Heatline Boiler - CH Perfect but no DWH

Turned off the cold supply to the shower today and ran it purely on the DHW from the boiler (boiler is fed from a different cold supply) and it made zero difference.

    Hot water flow rate

Potentially I have a similar problem. HW is piped from the boiler in 15mm copper. Is that too small a pipe for a decent flow rate?
