As I asked before , does it screw into the Knob or the square spindle??? Pullmyfinger respond!!

It might not be a grub screw. Does it screw into the knob or does it go into the square spindle.

Hi I have just checked one of my handles / spindles, 1940's the spindle is 5/16 " square & the screw appears to be 3/16" whitworth , So 3/16" BSW countersunk. Hope this helps. JonB

Air con now working OK, the guy in front of me didnt have to pay as he had a hole in one of the pipes. Very happy. JonB

Would anyone know if the above car looses air con fluid pressure that the pump will stop running. The car is 9years old & I dont mind paying for a re pressure but not if the motor wants changing. Thanks JonB
