You can buy OV system (open vent) condensing boilers. Has no pump or pressure vessel internally but is is not a lot cheaper than the sealed system version; demand is so low. Sealed system are a lot easier to bleed and less likely to sludge up. As an aside you start by asking a question then...

News to me. In my experience vents were placed into cupboards to facilitate air being sufficient for open flue appliances - you have a room sealed appliance so therefore no vents required. But guess i don't know it all and other people will put me right!
