Hello all, ooh, good question. Hubby actually does routing, I'm just writing. We were intending to draw and mark out the hole and then clamp straight edges on to use as a guide. We are going to overlap the side and back edges but wanted to make the rounded corners we see in the showrooms...

Have been practising on offcuts of a beech worktop in readyness to cut round a belfast sink. All been OK so far but before we take the plunge any further suggestions/hints/tips? Much appreciated, ta. :D

Do you know, you are the first person who's actually given me some decent advice! Apart from 'you've only got to cut a hole', I've really struggled to find any information on actually how. I was beginning to think there was a secret society on worktop cutting! Thanks a lot!

I only got a standard belfast sink, for £23 off of ebay (drove 2 hours to collect it) Hence no instructions! I think it's quite rare to get a belfast sink with an integral drainer. There's one on ebay that's up to £180 with 30 minutes to go! I'm looking for some way to drain the water from...

B****R! Thought you might say that! Someone suggested cutting the hole for the sink with a router though. Wouldn't a jigsaw be better? I have no idea!

Don't throw it away! I bought a belfast sink on Ebay, there are loads for sale! I missed out on 2. Try www.periodproperty.co.uk. They have a selling section with loads of people who would love to buy and will travel! Throwing away things like that is a crime!
