    Any tips for routing?

Hello all, ooh, good question. Hubby actually does routing, I'm just writing. We were intending to draw and mark out the hole and then clamp straight edges on to use as a guide. We are going to overlap the side and back edges but wanted to make the rounded corners we see in the showrooms...

    Belfast Sink

Hello, I just got this reply - let me know if it's any use. I don't have an immediate use for them, but if she's reasonably local I'll take them off her hands to stop them being destroyed. I'm sure I'll find a use sooner or later. I'm in Suffolk - any idea where she is?

    Ceramic taps

I was just about to say, no we've tried rotating the discs and can't, but I just realised what you meant. That means at least we could use them without them looking stupid - only we would know! Who hoo! i've been so depressed and have got told off by hubby too. We just came back from a plumb...

    Ceramic taps

Me in my wisdom have bought some cheap taps off the internet, at 25% of the normal price. I didn't expect them to be all that brilliant, but they do look very nice. However... They have horizontal lever handles, 1/4 turn. Unfortunately, the disc valves are identical, and not opposite. I.E...

    Ceramic disc valves

Hi, I re-posted in the plumbing section yesterday. It's now gone! It was there last night - have I done something wrong and it's been taken off?

nice new beech worktop – don't want to ruin it!

Do you know, you are the first person who's actually given me some decent advice! Apart from 'you've only got to cut a hole', I've really struggled to find any information on actually how. I was beginning to think there was a secret society on worktop cutting! Thanks a lot!

    Belfast Sink

I only got a standard belfast sink, for £23 off of ebay (drove 2 hours to collect it) Hence no instructions! I think it's quite rare to get a belfast sink with an integral drainer. There's one on ebay that's up to £180 with 30 minutes to go! I'm looking for some way to drain the water from...

I've just put a posting on periodproperty.co.uk, stating if anyone's interested, I'll let you know. All I need to know now is how to fit up the belfast sink I just bought!

nice new beech worktop – don't want to ruin it!

B****R! Thought you might say that! Someone suggested cutting the hole for the sink with a router though. Wouldn't a jigsaw be better? I have no idea!

    Belfast Sink

You'd be suprised! I bet if you put a posting on that property website (or better still, let people in the forum know, they're a lively lot) you'd get some response. If nothing, you'd gauge whether it's worth continuing to advertise. As a dedicated e-bayer, I never bid for anything until...

    Belfast Sink

Don't throw it away! I bought a belfast sink on Ebay, there are loads for sale! I missed out on 2. Try www.periodproperty.co.uk. They have a selling section with loads of people who would love to buy and will travel! Throwing away things like that is a crime!

nice new beech worktop – don't want to ruin it!

Hi everyone, I've just found this forum so I hope you can help. We're putting in a belfast sink and have got a nice length of beech worktop. It's not top quality (only £60), so I don't know how it'll hold up. It's only 28mm thick. We would like to rout in some draining grooves like we...
