    decking stain

WabbitPoo, I have decided to take your advice and go for an oil. I did plan to get which ever B&Q had on the shelf, Ronseal or Cuprinol. I have just read the product spec for the Ronseal Oil and it says it's water based. Is this best avoided?

Hi Thermo, Just been looking on the Liberon web site. They claim that you need to reapply the oil each year. Have you found you need to do that?

    Fence Stain

Hi All, I am planning to treat my new fence. I want a natural looking colour, perhaps a light oak'ish colour. I had looked at Cuprinol Ducks Back Autumn Gold but I'm not sure if I will get the colour I'm hoping for. Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated.

    decking stain

WabbitPoo, You say to use oil and not stain. Why is this? I had planned to use a very light shade of stain on my decking 'Cuprinol Ultra Tough decking Stain Golden Maple' I was told it would last longer than oil. Is this correct?

    Water under floorboards

I had the same problem, water under the floor. I got in touch with the Geological Survey. They informed me that I lived on a clay hill with glacial gravel veins running through it and one of these veins most likely ran under me house. So when it rained the veins would transmit water under...

    Warped Units

Thank you for all your replies. I have spoken to the fitters and they have agreed to come out again to look at the gaps and broken catches. Yes, perhaps by screwing them down on price they lowered their quality. That said they offered to do it cheaper with out me asking, we just knocked...

    Warped Units

Big All Here is a picture of most of the units. Just to the right of shot there are more units wich mirror part of the opposite wall but I think you can get an idea of how many units. We were quoted £8k fitted but at the time of ordering, a year and a half ago, we were deep in recession. The...

    Warped Units

Here are a two pictures of the hinges and two pictures of door gaps. The pictures don't seem to show the gaps that well, trust me though they are there! Hopefully the hinge pictures will help with adjustment advice. On a previous occasion the fitters replaced some of the doors as...

    Warped Units

Hi KenGMac, Thank you for the reply. I am thinking of getting them out again. The company have politely said to me in the past that the sort of movement and gap distortion is normal and acceptable for a bespoke kitchen made from a natural material. Some of the movement has been that bad...

    Warped Units

Hi Big All, The hinges are not the type you see in normal kitchens but the type you would find in other furniture. There is no adjustment. JohnD, The doors appear to have swelled! and closed the gap at the bottom. If any one knows how I can adjust standard furniture hinges...
