Taken out a few over the years and a lot of these were copper so at todays prices i will give you a tenner for it :wink:

The compression nut goes against the left hand side of that olive as you look at it in your pic.

Used to do lots in days gone. Open the compo with a turnpin to make a bell shape.tin a piece of copper and tap into compo add flux then fill with stick solder. If you roughen the end of the copper before tapping into the lead it stays put while soldering.

Ignore the three posts above as it's obvious that they don't know what they are talking about and have never fitted a system boiler and you might not need an RGI....no one said gas. Put in two zone valves on the flow where you can and don't forget a bypass before the valves.It would be neater...

Gas valve problem ? Fan and venturi problem ? Get the guy back as it's hard to say without being there.

Without new rads....one day But you might/would be best to rip it all out and go from new....3 days

Could be a split coil in the cylinder. When hot the coil expands,split opens up.

The AAV is on the top of this boiler...as i remember ?
