pushfit or Compression with insert. metal inserts are better with compression fittings.

If your existing fire is a Baxi with FOUR radiants then you may be in luck with changing it. THREE or FIVE radiants mean you are out of luck. Price would depend on your plumber/gas fitter as these fires are not cheap.

This sometimes happens when a stop tap has been altered. Try turning the stop tap back half a turn at a time and see if the noise stops.

It could be air in the system still from when he repaired. Why don't you shut the boiler off at the power and pressurise to 2bar for an hour or so :shock: You will soon find any leaks if you have any ?

F1 fault would/could mean ignition lead or igniter defective,gas valve needs adjusting,lack of gas,air intake duct blockage or check connections on igniter.
