not sure what your goop is but lots of people pour inhibitor into the f&e tank and there it sits until someone like me finds it in the form of an Octopus in the tank....could be what happened here ?

Have just checked my coils of pipe and they say polyplumb 12mm barrier pipe. Perhaps they have stopped making it and that is why i can't get the fittings ?

If you got water coming through the flow as you said then why not switch the heating off and see if you get water through the return :?: That way you will know if there is an air lock/blockage in the return pipe. Thats what i would do :wink:
