when the grandson starts his computer up,desktop comes up as usual,but when he try's to open internet explorer it just hangs there and won't do anything and that apply's to everything else. he's tried rebooting but it's the same all the time.could it be the processor.?

as your charger got a voltage regulator,check what voltage your laptop runs on,and ajust accordingly and make sure your adapters are like for like,lydl do a decent one "silvercrest" with ajustable voltage 15v to 24v output power at 90 watt. with adarpters. i got one as a backup it works fine.

sounds like "feedback from the speakers" some speakers have strong magnets.move them away as far as possible,have you tried disconnecting them and see how it runs then.

i am reporting back to say that W7 is better OS than all the previous versions,i thought xp was ok, i didn't know what to make of vista,so i upgraded to W7, i have 2 graphic cards and a HDMI outlet on my laptop and when i first upgraded to W7 i lost the higher graphics card and the HDMI, But...

Apart from faster start up time in W7 ,what is the great advantage over vista.
