I work in an IT Department for a large call cente solutions provider in Leeds (Also in Dearne Valley too) We spend a lot of money on our infastructure.. APC Ups are ok for a small company.. but for the loading your talking about forget them. Its just not cost effective to have a ups per...

Plugwash, I've had no probs.. even up to 35mm three core.. What do you use to strip it, a proper cutter for armoured cable or knife around and then cut away like peeling a potato, with the knife parallel to the armouring.. the inner can get tougher but varies with brand. Cable that has...

I have.. its not that hard if you know how to dig a hole though :D You know what i mean by that.. IE Dig a hole and then dig into it..rather than trying to stab horizontally.. anyway... Mini diggers are hard too especially if you cant move left and right hands independantly. Had to...

    Tingling feeling from woodworking machinery

Why cant he fit a erm..a Lug (the bit that comes with the gland) To the gland then using a crimped lug run some 6mm earth cable and run that to the terminal on the machine?? Leaving the armour exposed and putting it into the terminal isnt acceptable. I would rather have a three way...

    Cable, conduit, multi utilitiesTrench question.

Check with the installer, but its more likely to be plastic coated copper.. Gas pipes that go through a wall have to be within another pipe AFAIK. I would have thought it would be more like MDPE water pipe than Copper?? What do I know though.. just dont want you to have to do it twice...

    Service fuse

switched mode power supplies are about the dirtiest thing to connect as far as the REC's are concerned. Commercial industries do care about the power factor / balancing of phases. We have two 11kv supplies.. cant see how a school manages with 300A Especially with Aircon units & plenty of...
