Hi sorry Cannot help with your question, but it sounds like you've done a similar job to what I'm planning, but our design has scared us off the cost of steel.
Do you mind tell me what your approx price was for the steel ?
I've drained the system again and checked the heat exchanger seams to be fine, Diverter valve appears to be ok and functioning. But still no hot water......
I dont think its the following:
Thermister - as system keeps running when taps turned on
Diverter diapham changed in spring
WHE -...
Hi again all!
Right I've now replaced the pump and it works on all three settings.... Problem is the water and CH are still only getting look warm (Water only if i restrict the flow).
So this is either leeding to another faulty unit some were or trapped air, so whats the best way to get...
tried bleeding but with no luck, however I did notice the pump has 3 settings and when its on setting one it does not turn but on 2 and 3 it works (I think its slower than previous?? )
Morning all I hope you might be able to help me!!
Basicly this summer I replaced the diverter diaphram and hot water heat exchanger, no real issue just a pain of a job. System ran fine.
However came to but the CH on and noticed a slight weep from the filler loop, which I fixed last night...
OK since thanks.
another question so sorry for this.... but what is the underground fitting that could connect the toilet (from the wall e.g. curved down pipe) plus a rain water down pipe with out having a vent pipe?
Maybe best with a picture so see below (I do like pictures!!)...
Well just check the plans to the externsion and the rain water does run into the foul drain! The externsion was built in 1982 so Building regs must have been on the blink back then!
Its going to be intresting trying to connect them!
OK great thanks must just be very close or the waste pipe runs under the kitchen floor with I dout. The house is a 1920's but the extension were the toilet is currently is 1980's.
Think its a digging excersie one day very soon to find the pipe.
Just had brain wave! So a second question to this in two parts no dout!. I wonder if the waist pipe flows into the rain water run off just out side . If this is the case Can I not just extend that pipe upwards and then attach from the external all with a vent pipe over the single story...
Ok sorry maybe pmy plan is not quite to scale, but the room will be wider than that, so yes you will be able to sit on it with legs.
But the reason for moving is the fact that we have a long WC which is narrow currently, and the plan is to move the washing machine and a kitchen sink...
