The finish to the reveals is very poor, the side bit looks to be part of your building but there is no scaffold there to do it from - and jesus, did they ever leave your windows in a mess!!

Took a mirror off a wall recently, well I did eventually. It was put on with twin stick tape and clear silicon sealant, absolutely no way it was coming off under it's own weight, the twin stick was probably used to hold it while the silicon went off. Silicon makes a pretty decent job of holding...

Lately the sand available locally seems to me to be a bit 'raw' - adding plasticiser doesn't seem to help much as it just seems to soften it almost making it sloppy and it seems to have no body. Would adding lime help? does a 6:1:1 mix go as hard as a standard sand/cement bricklaying mortar?
