    Physics Question

Probably, although the difference would be so small as to be practically negligible. That's the engineering solution :D

    OIL CHANGE

Personally I'd stick with a spanner. Less chance of it getting knocked or deliberately tampered with. The difference in time is pretty small.

    ethylene glycol

I'm fairly sure that you used to be able to buy an inhibitor on its own. Whether you still can is anyone's guess. As for disposing of ethylene Glycol simply add it to wine like the French do.

    Well she's got a valid point !

That's not quite what the article said. He's supposed to have sufferd Post Traumatic Stress after the birth of one of their kids. Christ knows how the mother felt if the husband's got PTS!

    ethylene glycol

Ah but the system is pressurised which raises the boiling point. I'm not sure what effect EG has on boiling point but I suspect the pressurisation has more effect. As the system is sealed and if there is little air rust shouldn't be a problem. I've run a car on straight distilled over the...

    2nd. Hand Tyres.

That's exactly what I think. I've had part worns fitted several times. The only tyres that have failed have been brand new ones. One car tyre (can't remember the brand ) and two on my motorbike, (Continental and Dunlop). I don't think it's any worse than buying a second hand car and driving on...

    Internal Engine Noises? HELP!!

I did wonder about that myself. If true whatever it is doesn't qualify as remotely urgent. I'd get a couple of other quotes myself before launching into anything expensive.

    Vauxhall Zafia 1.9tdi Fault Codes

A bit of googling suggests that P0380 is a heater plug fault, P1901 is an airbag crash sensor, P1614 and 1616 are immobiliser faults - see here http://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/index.php?threads/p1616-and-1614-intermitant-non-start.256143/

I've no doubt John is 100% correct but if you go to somewhere like Eurocarparts or Opie oils they'll recommend the correct oil.

I need to change the discs on my Berlingo at the next service. Eurocarparts stock Pagid and Eicher. Anyone got any thoughts on either of those please?

    strange noise pass.side nissan micra.

My wife's Micra has a rattle which is either the exhaust heatshield or something internal to the cat. Seems to be worse on deceleration.

    Peugeot 406 Estate (petrol) 2litre

You're not supposed to have continuity. Continuity happens when the pad wears down far enough to activate the wear indicator. At least that's the way all the ones I've replaced so far seem to work. I could be wrong in this but I'm thought my 406 had twin cables going to the wear indicators and...

03 zafira no heating at all

First check the coolant level in the radiator and expansion tank. Second make sure the system is bled properly. If that makes no difference you could try flushing out the heater matrix. Beyond that I'll hand you over to the Vauxhall experts.

can i find out free if my car has been in an accident?

I've got to ask the question, why did you buy it if it seems so bad? Didn't you test drive it? Sorry if this seems a bit harsh.
