    If you don't have a problem with wind blowing across the face of vent then that sort should be ok. If you do then as I say the cowl type perform much better and if you can't find a kit that includes a cowl then I would buy and fit a cowl seperatly and not use the one with veins.

    Which are you having problems with. If it is the fill valve you can probably get a new washer. Other than that then google " bottom entry flush and fill valves". But you will need the correct size for the holes in the cistern.
