RCD-protected circuit that is not on a separate breaker

Yes, but if you turn off all RCBOs AND MCBs surely nothing works? If something does then you have a similar problem!!!

    Why bonding on gas pipe?

I know - but it doesn't - it IS a parallel path to earth, even though that is not its intended purpose. The electrons don't know the difference. The question was "Once the bonding is connected, if the gas pipe is underground does this act as an earth to supplement the existing earth from the...

    Why bonding on gas pipe?

Generally it will. It's a parallel path to earth so will reduce Ze. That's why you disconnect the MPBs when measuring Ze.

Determining the size of already installed cable

There appears to already be an RCD in your CU - the module on the far right of the photo. Iooks to me as if it has an IΔn value of 0.03a marked on it - that makes it a 30mA RCD. That's why we need a better photo - we need to be sure what is in the CU, and if that module is an RCD, to help you...

Determining the size of already installed cable

What's that on the far right, with a trip rating of 0.03A? Please can we have an in focus photo showing the whole of the CU so that all devices are fully visible?

    Loft Insulation upgrade

It's perfectly OK to have insulation between the rafters provided that there is an air gap between the insulation and the felt with eve and ridge vents to allow airflow between the felt and the insulation, plus provision for ventilation of the loft space.

What are these in every room

They are generally used to supply an item of fixed equipment. The questions are which circuit in your CU are they fed from and what are they supplying. You could turn them off in turn and see what stops working.

What are these in every room

Switched fused connection units (FCUs). Do you or did you have electric heaters/storage heater or anything similar? Is there any indication in you consumer units (CU) of circuits for something like that? If you post a photo of your CU with the flap open it might give us a clue.

Power to drill but doesn't work

The brushes are the carbon blocks than connect power to the rotor. They press against the commutator, which is the segmented copper ring at the left hand end of the rotor (the bit that spins!) They are pressed against the commutator by the springs that push them into the brush holder The...

    Electrician's Hourly Rates

Isn't this is just an example of market pricing? You charge as much as your market will bear without losing out to competitors too much. This is nothing new, surely.

SWA Cable from outside into FCU

I would (and have) run the entire inner flex though conduit into the FCU, not just the cores, plus a separate earth conductor for the armour.

    BT Landline switch off

Remove the faceplate from the NTE5 which isolates the internal wiring, the use male-male cable to connect the analogue phone port on the BT hub to the phone wiring. If the hub is not where the master socket is then use an extension socket or the DV Adapter to connect the analogue wiring.

Only if he's creating a new circuit. We don't know if he is, so let's ask: OP - where/how will the feed to the shed be connected in the house?
